The theoretical model of Enrico E. Jones (2000) emphasizes that therapeutic change is linked to the development and progression of interaction structures, understood as recurring sequences of exchanges that characterize the patient–therapist relationship over the course of treatment. Within this framework, the present single-case study, conducted in the field of process–outcome research, aims to examine whether, in a brief course of psychotherapy based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), such interaction structures undergo changes and whether these modifications are associated with an improvement in symptomatology. The investigation was carried out using the Psychotherapy Process Q-Set (PQS), which enabled the identification and description of interaction structures within a twelve-session treatment, and these were subsequently related to therapeutic outcome, assessed with the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III (MCMI-III).

Abstract
The theoretical model of Enrico E. Jones (2000) emphasizes that therapeutic change is linked to the development and progression of interaction structures, understood as recurring sequences of exchanges that characterize the patient–therapist relationship over the course of treatment. Within this framework, the present single-case study, conducted in the field of process–outcome research, aims to examine whether, in a brief course of psychotherapy based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), such interaction structures undergo changes and whether these modifications are associated with an improvement in symptomatology. The investigation was carried out using the Psychotherapy Process Q-Set (PQS), which enabled the identification and description of interaction structures within a twelve-session treatment, and these were subsequently related to therapeutic outcome, assessed with the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III (MCMI-III).| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
