This thesis examines the dynamics of integration between coastal and inland tourism supply, with a specific focus on the case of the Eastern Veneto, an area strongly oriented towards seaside tourism but also endowed with significant rural, natural, and cultural resources. The work is structured around a theoretical framework addressing key concepts of sustainable tourism, with particular attention to carrying capacity, host communities, and the “economy of variety.” It then explores coastal overtourism and destination management as potential drivers for sustainable tourism development. The second part analyses the tourism system of Eastern Veneto, its governance tools, and the role of local stakeholders, also through the collection of interviews. The research highlights how managerial fragmentation hinders the full enhancement of the territory—especially its inland areas—while also revealing concrete prospects for collaboration between public and private actors.

Abstract
The research highlights how managerial fragmentation hinders the full enhancement of the territory—especially its inland areas—while also revealing concrete prospects for collaboration between public and private actors.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
