Les néologismes terminologiques en langues des signes: une étude de cas en santé mentale

This work examines the topic of terminological neology in sign languages. It is based on a systematic review aimed at understanding how terminological creation functions, through an analysis of language planning practices, the mechanisms underpinning the development of new signs, and their dissemination within specialized domains. The findings of this review, combined with a critical analysis of international standards, served as the basis for designing a model of multimodal terminological entry, applied to the field of mental health in French Sign Language. By bringing together the theoretical contributions of the systematic review and the applied study on reformulating the terminological entry from a multimodal perspective, this research aims to broaden the theoretical framework of terminology by proposing a knowledge-organization tool capable of integrating three linguistic modalities.

Ce travail aborde le thème de la néologie terminologique dans les langues des signes. Il s’appuie sur une revue systématique visant à comprendre le fonctionnement de la création terminologique, à partir de l’examen des pratiques d’aménagement linguistique, des mécanismes qui sous-tendent l’élaboration de nouveaux signes et de leur diffusion dans les domaines spécialisés. Les résultats de cette revue, associés à une analyse critique des normes internationales, ont servi de base à la formulation d’un modèle de fiche terminologique multimodale, appliqué au domaine de la santé mentale en Langue des signes française. En articulant les apports théoriques de la revue systématique et de l’étude applicative de la reformulation de la fiche terminologique en perspective multimodale, cette recherche vise à contribuer à élargir le cadre théorique de la terminologie, en proposant un outil d’organisation de la connaissance capable d’intégrer trois modalités linguistiques.
