This paper will analyze the theory of action proposed and conveyed by the Bhagavadgītā, a poem interpolated within the great epic the Mahabharata. The examination will begin by contextualizing the work and then explaining some of the foundations of indian thought that underlie it. The central focus of the analysis will then be the study of the theory of action proposed by the source text and, subsequently, placed in dialogue within the contemporary philosophical debate on human action and the concept of acency.

L'elaborato analizzerà la teoria dell'azione proposta e veicolata dalla Bhagavadgītā, poema interpolato all'interno della grande epopea del Mahābhārata. La disamina partirà dalla contestualizzazione dell'opera per poi fare luce su alcuni fondamenti del pensiero indiano che fanno da sostrato all'opera. Il punto centrale dell'analisi sarà poi lo studio della teoria dell'azione proposta dal testo di riferimento e, successivamente, messa in dialogo all'interno del dibattito filosofico contemporaneo circa l'agire umano.
