This research aims to apply the health process framework developed by De Nardi, Pashchenko, and Porapakkarm (2024) to analyze health dynamics among older adults in Europe. Utilizing data from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE), the model accounts for the decreasing probability of recovery to a healthy state the longer an individual remains ill. This approach allows for a nuanced understanding of health progression in the aging population.
