The thesis aims to investigate the preparation of kohl sample from a chlorate vial and a bronze container from the site of Tepe Chalow, northeastern Iran, dated to the Bronze Age. Through comparisons and analytic investigation, using previous analyses, XRPD and SEM, the present works purpose is to further understand the composition of the samples. The latter are all taken from a Bronze Age grave excavated at Tepe Chalow by a joint Iran-Italian team during 2014 campaign. All the sample were re-organized and catalogued. The results permitted to understand the composition of the samples, that are not similar to most of those attested in the literature and on modern markets, thus giving new prospective for further researches.
