Sustainability must penetrate all activities and all relations in the firm, and organization design has to follow fundamental design principles based on the four I’s: Incentives, Innovation, Integration, and Impact; for companies to be able to achieve long term sustainability. My thesis will particularly study the implementation of the Four I’s Framework into organizations; through case studies on companies that have succeeded and failed to transform into sustainable organizations.
