In recent years, the fashion industry has experienced a profound transformation, driven by the digitization of business processes and the growing need for efficiency, sustainability and transparency along the entire value chain. Among the technologies enabling this transformation, RFID technology has established itself as a critical tool for improving inventory accuracy, optimizing logistics, and enhancing the customer experience. After a description of the operating principles and international standards, the applications of RFID technology are explored and how they improve inventory accuracy, operational efficiency and product traceability while also supporting circular economy models and the introduction of the European Digital Product Passport. Next, a case study conducted at a major Italian fashion group is presented, in which a pilot implementation of the technology has made it possible to achieve over 99% inventory accuracy. The results obtained confirm how RFID is a strategic lever for digital transformation and a competitive advantage for companies in the fashion sector.

Abstract
The results obtained confirm how RFID is a strategic lever for digital transformation and a competitive advantage for companies in the fashion sector.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
