L’Abattoir Frigorifique de Farcha (AFF) de 1958 à nos jours : La mise en valeur de l’histoire, de son patrimoine et de création d’un musée d’entreprise.

Since its creation in 1958 to today, this study traces the history of the Farcha Refrigerated Abattoir, located in N'Djamena, Chad. Built in a colonial context to meet the growing demand for meat and exports, this abattoir is a key indicator of the socio-economic and industrial development of the nation. Through a heritage perspective, this study seeks to record, study, and highlight this iconic place, which is largely unknown to the public today. Given the constant degradation of the site and the risk of losing its memory, the study suggests the creation of a Virtual Heritage Interpretation Center (VHIC). This original project uses digital tools to reconstruct, preserve, and transmit the material and immaterial history of the abattoir. The goal is to raise awareness among the population, especially younger generations, about the richness of Chad's industrial heritage, while promoting it and integration into a sustainable cultural and tourism landscape. This project is based on a mixture of historical research, field surveys, gathering of oral testimonies, and digital modeling. It is part of a participatory heritage project linked to current concerns regarding memory, identity, and the enhancement of Chadian heritage

Depuis sa création en 1958 jusqu'à aujourd'hui, cette étude retrace l'histoire de l'Abattoir Frigorifique de Farcha, situé à N'Djamena, au Tchad. Construit dans un cadre colonial pour satisfaire la demande croissante de viande et d’exportations, cet abattoir constitue un indicateur clé du développement socio-économique et industriel de la nation. Par le biais d'une perspective patrimoniale, cette étude cherche à enregistrer, étudier et mettre en valeur ce lieu emblématique, aujourd'hui surtout inconnu du grand public. Compte tenu de la dégradation constante du site et du risque de perte de sa mémoire, le mémoire la création d'un Centre d’Interprétation Virtuel du Patrimoine (CIVP). Ce projet original utilise des outils numériques pour reconstituer, préserver et transmettre l'histoire matérielle et immatérielle de l’abattoir. L'objectif est de sensibiliser la population, en particulier les jeunes vgénérations, à la richesse du patrimoine industriel tchadien, tout en favorisant son intégration dans un paysage culturel et touristique durable. Ce projet repose sur un mélange de recherche historique, d'enquêtes de terrain, de recueil de témoignages oraux et de modélisation numérique. Il s'inscrit dans un projet patrimonial participatif en lien avec les préoccupations actuelles en matière de mémoire, d'identité et de valorisation du patrimoine tchadien.
