In the industrial era, many traditional handicrafts have been transformed into light industries, and nowadays, industrial heritage and intangible cultural heritage are receiving more and more attention. And this kind of heritage, which is based on traditional technology and has undergone industrialisation, deserves our focus. This study takes the Chinese traditional handicraft 'Hui ink' and the Old Hu Kaiwen Ink Factory as examples, analyzing the path of their transformation into an industry and their heritage, and then exploring the future development direction of this kind of heritage. It aims to propose a classification of 'semi-mechanical technical industrial heritage'(半机 械 工 业 技 术 遗 产 ) , to provide a preliminary methodology for heritage classification and assessment, and to reveal the development paths and potentials of this type of heritage in order to shed light on its future management and sustainable development.
