This study aims to evaluate chemical risk for health and safety in the Analytical and Research Laboratories of the Centre of Excellence for Beer Research (CERB) at the University of Perugia through the application of two mathematical models: the MoVaRisCH algorithm, required by national legislation, and the Risk21 framework, developed for integrated chemical risk management. The analysis was carried out by compiling an inventory of the chemical substances used in the various processes, identifying associated hazards, and classifying substances according to current legislative requirements (Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008, REACH Regulation, CLP Regulation, and EU Regulation 2020/878). Operational parameters, exposed tasks, and workplace characteristics were also considered to achieve a comprehensive assessment aligned with regulatory standards. The proposed approach aims to provide a rigorous methodological basis for chemical risk management, supporting the implementation of preventive and corrective measures to ensure worker health protection and full compliance with safety regulations.
