Brazil, China and other worldwide States have increased their wealth due to an economy based on factory farming. Nevertheless, decades ago, the WHO classified processed meat as carcinogenic for humans, with the strongest evidence being for risk of colorectal and stomach cancers, and red meat as probably carcinogenic. The following Master thesis is aimed to provide political, economic and social solutions based on scientific studies to reduce the meat consumption in order to cut down environmental damage and human rights violations.
