The high luminosity LHC runs will allow for a more precise measurement of cross sections involving the Higgs boson, throwing further light on the properties of this particle. Higgs pair production is particularly interesting in this sense, since it involves the trilinear Higgs self-coupling and can thus probe the Higgs potential. In this thesis, we will explore one particular Higgs pair production, the one associated to a vector boson, computed at next-to-next-to leading order. We will see how possible contributions beyond the Standard Model can affect this process. In particular we will follow two different approaches, the so called Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) and Higgs Effective Field Theory (HEFT). We will see to what extent deviations from the Standard Model can impact future measurements.

Abstract
We will see to what extent deviations from the Standard Model can impact future measurements.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
