The companies are making huge investments in research and development to remain competitive in a very fast-changing world and in last decades one of the key successes factors of the business have become its IT infrastructure. Nowadays, often there are more than one software used by companies in their daily operations and this paper aim to analyze one, which is considered as “Master” system for the companies. Namly ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) which aggregates most of the company’s data, even though not all business operations are executed from ERP, but thanks to the “interface integrations” between different business applications, data may be exchanged and thus most of the business data becomes available for the ERP. For this reason, ERP systems are considered as “data centers “for the companies where to consult and rely on the information (such as: Revenues, cash flows) in real time, from which then the business decisions are made. Due to these factors an ERP system plays a very important role for the companies to conduct their business in the most efficient way, therefore the focus of this paper will be on ERP market research, project implementations and its estimated economic and financial value.
