The topic addressed concerns the seismic upgrading of an existing heritage-listed building, with the aim of combining the requirements of structural safety with the preservation of architectural heritage. The study analyses the main issues related to interventions on historical buildings, characterized by traditional materials and construction techniques, as well as by the constraints imposed by current preservation and building rules. Following a preliminary phase of historical analysis, geometric and structural surveying, and diagnostic investigations, the seismic vulnerability assessment is carried out through numerical modelling and verification procedures in accordance with the Italian Building Rule (NTC 2018). Subsequently, both global and local intervention strategies are proposed, including grout injections, reinforced plaster, improved connections through reinforced drillings, and the creation of rigid diaphragms on the floors. The ultimate goal is to identify a seismic improvement solution that is effective, sustainable, and respectful of the building’s historical and artistic value.

Abstract
The ultimate goal is to identify a seismic improvement solution that is effective, sustainable, and respectful of the building’s historical and artistic value.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
