The thesis investigates the structural behavior of laminated transparent structures for aeronautical applications through finite element modeling. The work was carried out in an industrial context and is framed within the design and verification of transparent components that must meet high standards of safety, mechanical performance, and optical quality. Particular attention is devoted to helicopter windshields made of laminated glass. These components are analyzed using an integrated approach that includes the study of material properties, the theoretical modeling of multilayer structures, and numerical simulation. Finite element analyses make it possible to evaluate the response of the components under representative loading conditions and to support the verification and optimization phases of the design process. Furthermore, the developed approach is applied to a case study in the automotive sector concerning a polycarbonate car roof. This demonstrates that the adopted methodologies can be extended to different application contexts. The obtained results highlight the effectiveness of numerical analysis as a support tool for the design of laminated transparent structures in an industrial environment.

Abstract
The obtained results highlight the effectiveness of numerical analysis as a support tool for the design of laminated transparent structures in an industrial environment.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
