Over the past decade, BTS have redefined the boundaries of K-pop, transforming it from an industrial product into an authorial and cultural phenomenon of global significance. The aim of this research is to understand how BTS have transcended the pre-existing models of idol pop, establishing themselves as artists and producers capable of blending experimentation and mainstream appeal, tradition and innovation. Through the analysis of key songs and the examination of their visual and conceptual aesthetics, this study explores the construction of a coherent musical identity and a global symbolic discourse. BTS emerge not merely as performers, but as a laboratory of aesthetic, social, and communicative innovation within twenty-first-century popular music.

Abstract
Over the past decade, BTS have redefined the boundaries of K-pop, transforming it from an industrial product into an authorial and cultural phenomenon of global significance. The aim of this research is to understand how BTS have transcended the pre-existing models of idol pop, establishing themselves as artists and producers capable of blending experimentation and mainstream appeal, tradition and innovation. Through the analysis of key songs and the examination of their visual and conceptual aesthetics, this study explores the construction of a coherent musical identity and a global symbolic discourse. BTS emerge not merely as performers, but as a laboratory of aesthetic, social, and communicative innovation within twenty-first-century popular music.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
