Cronache del reale. Fiction e nonfiction nelle opere di Truman Capote ed Emmanuel Carrère

This work aims to analyze the declinations of fiction and nonfiction in the works of Truman Capote and Emmanuel Carrère, particularly in "In Cold Blood" and "L'Adversaire," "Handcarved Coffins" and "La Classe de neige," "Answered Prayers" and "Un roman russe." Drawing on the history of nonfiction genres and Carrère's reading of Capote, it seeks to identify the recurring images, symbols, and themes that fill the gap left by the "documents" in the texts examined.

Il presente elaborato si propone di analizzare le declinazioni di fiction e nonfiction nelle opere di Truman Capote ed Emmanuel Carrère, in particolare in "In Cold Blood" e "L'Adversaire", "Handcarved Coffins" e "La Classe de neige", "Answered Prayers" e "Un roman russe". Partendo dalla storia dei generi di nonfiction e dalla lettura che Carrère dà di Capote, si intende individuare le immagini, i simboli e i temi ricorrenti che colmano il vuoto lasciato dai "documenti" nei testi esaminati.
