This study investigates the geotechnical reliability of river levees along the Tagliamento River through a probabilistic stability assessment. Probabilistic distributions of levee features are derived compiling a comprehensive geodatabase that integrated data of previous geotechnical investigations campaign and topographic survey. CPT parameters were statistically processed using MATLAB to evaluate stratigraphy and spatial variability. These datasets were used to estimate geotechnical design parameters and classify soil behavior along the levee alignment. The final stage of the research involves performing levee slope-stability analyses under different hydraulic loading scenarios using numerical geotechnical software such as D-Stability. These analyses will be combined with statistical variability in soil parameters to estimate the probability of failure and classify levee segments by reliability. The proposed thesis will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the Tagliamento River levee system, enabling more informed decision-making for flood risk management, maintenance planning, and reinforcement strategies.

Abstract
The proposed thesis will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the Tagliamento River levee system, enabling more informed decision-making for flood risk management, maintenance planning, and reinforcement strategies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
