This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a control and acquisition system for Thermal Mass Flow sensor in industrial applications. A detailed analysis of the characteristics of thermomassic sensors is presented, followed by a description of the fundamental parameters to be acquired and processed for the applications of interest: three different acquisition and control systems will then be analyzed, with their respective advantages and disadvantages. Finally, the design and implementation of the chosen system is presented, in a first prototype with a discussion on the results obtained and possible future applications. The project was developed in collaboration with Sit Spa, in its laboratories in Padua.

Abstract

This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a control and acquisition system for Thermal Mass Flow sensor in industrial applications. A detailed analysis of the characteristics of thermomassic sensors is presented, followed by a description of the fundamental parameters to be acquired and processed for the applications of interest: three different acquisition and control systems will then be analyzed, with their respective advantages and disadvantages. Finally, the design and implementation of the chosen system is presented, in a first prototype with a discussion on the results obtained and possible future applications.
