The thesis examines the Bonometti Carminati Collection of Cremona, a private assemblage created by the art historian Don Bonometti and recently declared to be of “exceptional historical and artistic interest” by the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Cremona, Lodi and Mantua. By reconstructing the origins of the collection, the motivations behind its formation, and the circumstances that led to the opening of the museum, the study investigates the role of the collection as a testimony to the Cremonese artistic landscape from the nineteenth century to the early twenty-first century. The aim is to outline, through the works themselves, a critical trajectory that contributes to reconstructing the history of local art, highlighting continuities, specific characteristics, and connections with the broader cultural context.

Abstract
The aim is to outline, through the works themselves, a critical trajectory that contributes to reconstructing the history of local art, highlighting continuities, specific characteristics, and connections with the broader cultural context.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
