Experimental thesis on the characterization, design, and study of brazed plate heat exchangers for residential heating systems, based on a series of laboratory tests conducted as an internship at Polidoro S.p.A., involving models of various plate sizes and characteristics. The thesis develops from a general overview of the production and thermohydraulic design of brazed plate heat exchangers based on the diverse application requirements of the current market. Using a single-phase (water-to-water) testing plant, various results were obtained for different exchanger models (differing in plate geometry and size, and under various test conditions).
Tesi sperimentale sulla caratterizzazione, il design e lo studio degli scambiatori di calore saldobrasati per sistemi di riscaldamento residenziale, basata su una serie di prove di laboratorio svolte come attività di tirocinio presso l'azienda Polidoro spa riguardanti modelli di diverse dimensioni e caratteristiche delle piastre. L'elaborato si sviluppa a partire da un quadro generale sulla produzione e sul design termoidraulico degli scambiatori a piastre saldobrasate in base ai differenti risvolti applicativi richiesti dal mercato attuale. Tramite un impianto di collaudo per prove monofase (acqua-acqua), sono stati ottenuti diversi risultati relativi a differenti modelli di scambiatori (differenti per geometria e dimensione delle piastre e condizioni di prova testate).
