This thesis will outline the design and development of an electronic board intended to provide backlighting for LCD screens using an LED matrix. It will begin by describing the theoretical principles underlying the project, before moving on to the physical design of the board. It will then proceed to describe the programming of the algorithm that will allow the brightness of the LEDs to be adjusted according to the image to be illuminated. In the final section of the thesis, the prototype board will be tested in the laboratory, concluding with the results obtained and possible future developments.
Questa tesi esporrà la progettazione e lo sviluppo di una scheda elettronica, il cui scopo é creare una retroilluminazione per schermi LCD usando una matrice di LED. Si inizierà descrivendo i cenni teorici che stanno dietro al progetto, per poi passare alla progettazione fisica della scheda. Si proseguirà quindi descrivendo la programmazione dell'algoritmo che permetterà di impostare la luminosità dei LED in base all'immagine da illuminare. Nella parte finale della tesi si proverà in laboratorio il prototipo di scheda realizzato, concludendo con i risultati ottenuti e i possibili sviluppi futuri.
