This thesis explains how competence and emotional intelligence are indispensable phenomena, especially for the work of educator. The educator, a person in continuous training, is self-aware and able to manage their emotions. Using his emotional skills, he relates to the adolescent, a person who is going through one of the most complex phases of life and who does not always develop a positive identity. Through the formation of an authentic educational relationship between educator and adolescent and with the use of adequate educational strategies, they can work and interact with trust, collaboration and empathy.
La presente tesi spiega come la competenza e l'intelligenza emotiva siano fenomeni indispensabili, in particolar modo per il lavoro di educatore. L'educatore, persona in continua formazione, è autoconsapevole e in grado di gestire le proprie emozioni. Utilizzando le sue competenze emotive, egli si relaziona all'adolescente, persona che attraversa una delle fasi più complesse della vita e che non sempre sviluppa un'identità positiva. Attraverso la formazione di un'autentica relazione educativa tra educatore e adolescente e con l'utilizzo delle adeguate strategie educative, essi possono lavorare e interagire con fiducia, collaborazione ed empatia.
