Interrogative suggestibility (IS) is a crucial construct in forensic settings, especially regarding the elderly population, who are highly vulnerable to testimonial distortions due to cognitive and memory decline. The study involved an initial sample of 87 healthy participants over 64, who were administered the Gudjonsson Suggestibility Scale 2 (GSS-2) and whose 128-channel HD-EEG activity was recorded concurrently with pupillometry (EyeLink Portable Duo) during a 5-minute resting-state phase. It is hypothesized that there is a positive correlation between interrogative suggestibility and low alpha band activity, higher theta band activity, greater pupil dilation, and increased pupil size variability."

Abstract
Interrogative suggestibility (IS) is a crucial construct in forensic settings, especially regarding the elderly population, who are highly vulnerable to testimonial distortions due to cognitive and memory decline. This study investigates the possibility of characterizing an individual's suggestibility profile through baseline neurophysiological parameters, evaluating the link between susceptibility to suggestion, Cognitive Load Theory (CLT), and resting-state brain and ocular activity. It is hypothesized that there is a positive correlation between interrogative suggestibility and low alpha band activity, higher theta band activity, greater pupil dilation, and increased pupil size variability."| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
