This thesis aims to investigate Roman road system along the Limes Numidicus in Algeria. Through the study of the geomorphological context, of historical aspects, of epigraphic sources, it was achievable a critic reappraisal of the knowledge related to the road axes of the region. These studies were integrated with satellite image analysis with the aim to locate archaeological confirmations that testify the presence of roads. Data allowed to reinterpret the ways in which communication routes were structured in an area on the fringes of the Roman world.
