The Euganean Geothermal Field (EuGF), covering approximately 36 km² in central Veneto, represents a complex hydrothermal system whose recharge area is located about 80 km to the north, in the pre-Alpine region, at altitudes ranging between 1,000 and 2,239 m a.s.l. Fluid ascent, with temperatures reaching between 65 °C and 86 °C, is facilitated by the local fault system (Schio-Vicenza fault), which allows for rapid vertical migration from a depth of 3–4 km, thereby preserving the thermochemical characteristics of the deep reservoir. Monitoring conducted on 24 sampling points (22 wells and 2 springs) integrated field analysis, ion chromatography (IC), and thermodynamic modeling (PHREEQC) using programming languages (Jupyter/Python) and GIS tools. The results demonstrate that the system is not homogeneous but exhibits a continuous hydrogeochemical gradient controlled by the mixing of two distinct end-members: a deep geothermal fluid (Na–Cl facies) in the heart of the Abano and Montegrotto Terme area, and cold infiltration water (Ca–HCO₃ facies). Moving from north (Abano-Montegrotto) to south (Monselice), progressive dilution and fluid cooling lead to an inversion of the classical Chebotarev evolutionary sequence. Finally, the analysis of silica geothermometers and saturation indices confirms a rapid, sub-vertical ascent of fluids, followed by sub-horizontal expansion toward the southern areas of the geothermal basin.
