The research question my thesis addresses is: how do companies translate sustainability objectives into concrete actions on human capital? The thesis starts by building the theoretical framework: from the evolution of the concept of sustainability (Triple Bottom Line, SDGs, ESG) and introducing the theories that explain the adoption of sustainable practices (Institutional Theory, systems thinking, Paradox Theory). It then deepens Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM) and, in particular, continuous learning and structured L&D programs as relevant actions for sustainability. Next, the thesis analyzes the Benefit Corporation model, showing – through the data of the National Research – that it is an organization that integrates sustainability in a structural way, with a focus on the Human Capital area and transparent impact reporting, and how it is a structural model resilient to external pressures. Finally, the case of Omnia Technologies is presented, a metalworking Benefit Corporation where I am currently doing my internship. It goes through the steps of the evolution of corporate sustainability as an integral part of the strategy, and it verifies, in practice, how continuous learning and skill development practices are implemented in operational reality, thus answering the research question.

Abstract
It goes through the steps of the evolution of corporate sustainability as an integral part of the strategy, and it verifies, in practice, how continuous learning and skill development practices are implemented in operational reality, thus answering the research question.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
