The thesis work addresses the problem of load oscillation in an overhead crane used in a waste handling plant. Anti-oscillation control techniques were studied, implemented and compared. A digital twin has been developed in MATLAB/Simulink and Simscape Multibody, validated with experimental business data. The results show a reduction in residual oscillation and a halving of maneuvering times in significant cases, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed techniques for improving safety and productivity in the industrial sector.

Abstract
The thesis work addresses the problem of load oscillation in an overhead crane used in a waste handling plant. Anti-oscillation control techniques were studied, implemented and compared. A digital twin has been developed in MATLAB/Simulink and Simscape Multibody, validated with experimental business data. The results show a reduction in residual oscillation and a halving of maneuvering times in significant cases, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed techniques for improving safety and productivity in the industrial sector.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
