In recent years, interest in bioactive compounds bearing a sulfoximine moiety has increased signifi-cantly, owing to the peculiar characteristics of this functional group. In particular, cyclic fluorinated sulfoximines have attracted considerable attention due to their interesting properties. However, the synthesis of these compounds still presents several limitations in the literature. Most of the currently available methodologies are based on metal-catalyzed processes. This project aims to propose an alternative approach by developing a photoredox process using an organophoto-catalyst. Photochemistry is a recently rediscovered methodology that offers several advantages compared with more classical synthetic approaches, including mild reaction conditions and the possibility of access-ing unconventional reaction pathways. The methodology presented in this work will explore the synthetic challenges associated with cyclic fluorinated sulfoximines and photochemistry, while also highlighting the potential and versatility of these two interesting research topics.

Abstract
The methodology presented in this work will explore the synthetic challenges associated with cyclic fluorinated sulfoximines and photochemistry, while also highlighting the potential and versatility of these two interesting research topics.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
