Neofascismo e anticomunismo a Padova. 1946 - 1960

This thesis aims to investigate how neo-fascist political demands emerged, spread, and became organized in the years following the Liberation. Anti-communism certainly played a significant role; supported even by the major political parties, it created space and legitimacy for parties such as the Movimento Sociale Italiano. This thesis examines the political and social activities of neo-fascist groups, their involvement in the so-called Trieste question and the stance taken on the matter by the City Council, as well as place naming (toponymy), which clearly demonstrates the persistence of similar ideological currents.

La tesi si propone di indagare il modo in cui emersero, si diffusero e si organizzarono le istanze politiche neofasciste negli anni all'indomani della Liberazione. Grande peso ebbe sicuramente l'anticomunismo, che, supportato anche dai partiti maggioritari, lasciava spazio e legittimità a partiti come il Movimento Sociale Italiano. In questa tesi viene trattata l'attività politica e sociale dei gruppi neofascisti, la loro partecipazione alla questione di Trieste e la politica al riguardo tenuta dal Consiglio Comunale, e la toponomastica, che ben dimostra il permanere di istanze simili.
