E.T.PACK is the name of a European project in which the University of Padua takes part to. This project rises with the purpose of creating a kit for deorbiting satellites close to their end of life in order to reduce orbital pollution. The composition of this thesis is based on the work developed for the creation of the first prototype of E.T.PACK. This thesis shines a light to the realization of the subsystems that consist of the prototype, in particular the pneumatic subsystem and the attitude control. Eventually, the prototype of E.T.PACK has been submitted to tests on a low friction testing facility (derived from the SPARTANS project, developed at the University of Padua) to determine the behavior, technical characteristics and potential performance flaws of the various tapes taken under exams. In this thesis there will be explicated tests and analysis carried out in the laboratory of the University of Padua. Lastly, there will be focus on the tests regarding three different varieties of tapes i.e. SPECTRA, Aluminum and PEEK. In the last part of the experimental campaign two different types of an in-line damper (ILD) have been submitted to analysis to determine differences and features that have arisen during the development phase with and without ILD.
