Abstract

The small wavelength in mmWave systems enables beamforming using large antenna arrays to combat SNR degradation. In this work, after the analysis of a suitable MIMO mmWave channel, we present and compare multi-antenna single user solutions. Performance of existing beamforming architectures are analyzed, moreover some new low-complexity systems are investigated from an analytical and simulative manner with the aim to give a practical and implementative perspective.
