This thesis examines the mixed-mode fracture toughness and lap shear strength of five different aerospace-grade composite. The composite joints were produced from dry fibres, cured using a hydraulic press and machined following the international standards for each test. The thesis examine mode I, mode II and mixed mode I/II using DCB, ELS and ADCB tests respectively. Lap shear analyses were carried out using two different configurations: one “free” and one "anti-buckling"

Abstract
This thesis examines the mixed-mode fracture toughness and lap shear strength of five different aerospace-grade composite. The composite joints were produced from dry fibres, cured using a hydraulic press and machined following the international standards for each test. The thesis examine mode I, mode II and mixed mode I/II using DCB, ELS and ADCB tests respectively. Lap shear analyses were carried out using two different configurations: one “free” and one "anti-buckling"File in questo prodotto:
