In the presented work a structural analysis of a 1 kW Darrieus turbine was performed. A detailed analysis of the involved forces was carried out in order to evaluate the most significant loads affecting the structure. Different designs for the rotor spoke were investigated through two Finite Element Models. A strain gage system installed on one of the rotor spoke was calibrated. On the other hand, the dynamic behaviour of the blade was investigated through the Experimental Modal Analysis.
