This project is addressed to the synthesis of a nanostructured system for multi-imaging, useful for different and complementary imaging techniques. The technique already developed in the host laboratory is the one using SERS signals (Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering), taking advantage of the particle’s plasmonic properties. These nanostructures are then functionalized with targeting agents like antibodies or they active parts (scFv). The project here reported develops the synthesis of molecules to further functionalize the plasmonic system, adding the functions of contrast agent for other imaging techniques like MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or PET (Positron Emission Tomography).

Abstract
This project is addressed to the synthesis of a nanostructured system for multi-imaging, useful for different and complementary imaging techniques. The technique already developed in the host laboratory is the one using SERS signals (Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering), taking advantage of the particle’s plasmonic properties. These nanostructures are then functionalized with targeting agents like antibodies or they active parts (scFv). The project here reported develops the synthesis of molecules to further functionalize the plasmonic system, adding the functions of contrast agent for other imaging techniques like MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or PET (Positron Emission Tomography).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
