This research aims to determine the effect of turbulence intensity on blade loading according to the following objectives:(1) characterizing the sea turbulence in the sea channel between Ramsey Island and the wales coastThen (2) build the input necessary for TurbSim in order to recreate the fluid flow. Finally, (3) using the simulated fluid flow as an inflow condition for Aerodyn, in order to predict the loads over a numerical representation of the tidal turbine model.
