In this work a new approach is proposed to evaluate the economic potential of battery storage systems in the Italian ASM. Moving from a two-year dataset, a bidding strategy and the Italian balancing market are modeled. An accurate representation of market constraints and timeframes provide deterministic economic results of a battery storage bidding on either balancing market only or on both intraday energy market and services market, assessing the current structure of the UVAM project as well.

Abstract
In this work a new approach is proposed to evaluate the economic potential of battery storage systems in the Italian ASM. Moving from a two-year dataset, a bidding strategy and the Italian balancing market are modeled. An accurate representation of market constraints and timeframes provide deterministic economic results of a battery storage bidding on either balancing market only or on both intraday energy market and services market, assessing the current structure of the UVAM project as well.File in questo prodotto:
