In this work a new antenna design and an electromagnetic acceleration stage for an IPT have been studied. The birdcage antenna creates a resonance circuit that matches the RF generator impedance, reducing the reflected power into the circuit. The antenna EM field is expected to support the helicon wave development. The plasma is accelerated through an electromagnetic nozzle created by two electromagnets. The field strength and topology have been simulated with FEMM.
