La norma elusiva. Regole e comunità nel secondo Wittgenstein, terapia linguistica.

Questo lavoro di tesi sviluppa un percorso all’interno della filosofia del cosiddetto secondo Wittgenstein, alla luce dei concetti di regola e comunità. Da una parte si cerca di leggere Wittgenstein con Wittgenstein, rinunciando ad alcune distorsioni prospettiche che si sono accumulate in decenni di interpretazioni, dall’altra si sviluppa un attraversamento critico del dibattito sulla dimensione sociale del linguaggio, emerso in seguito alla nota interpretazione di Saul Kripke. Esito di questo percorso sarà un sostanziale rigetto delle premesse implicite e condivise del dibattito, avvalorando una lettura del problema della regola in Wittgenstein più coerentemente possibile all’idea di filosofia da egli avvalorata e difesa. This thesis aims to show the role and the function of the concepts of rules and community within the philosophy of the so called later Wittgenstein. It develops two complementary enquiries: on one hand, it tries to get a closer look to Wittgenstein’s work itself, without recurring to any additional interpretation; on the other hand, it offers an overview of the main topics of the debate about the social nature of language, sprung out from Saul Kripke’s notorious interpretation. As a conclusion, this thesis states that we should reject the implicit premises of the debate, and try to reconsider the role of linguistic rules not independently from the idea of philosophy Wittgenstein supports in his later work.
