Abstract
In this work, different surface treatments on carbon fibers are performed in order to improve the wettability of the carbon filaments by molten aluminum. The main aim consisted in the optimization of both desizing and K2ZrF6 treatments. DSC tests were conducted in order to study the sequence of chemical reactions at the interface as well as optical microscope and SEM observations to study its characteristics.File in questo prodotto:
