THE AIM OF THIS WORK IS TO STUDY THE PROPERTIES OF MERGING BLACK HOLE-BLACK HOLE, NEUTRON STAR- BLACK HOLE, AND NEUTRON STAR –NEUTRON STAR BINARIES AS A FUNCTION OF REDSHIFT. WE USE A MONTE CARLO APPROACH COMBINING OUR ADVANCED BINARY POPULATION-SYNTHESIS MODELS WITH THE ILLUSTRIS PUBLIC COSMOLOGICAL SIMULATION. STUDYNG THE ENVIROMENT OF COMPACT OBJECTS MERGERS ALLOWS US TO PUT CONSTRAINTS ON THEIR STELLAR PROGENITORS AND ON THE CHARACTERISITCS OF THEI HOST GALAXIES (LIKE METALLICITY AND MASS). THIS GIVES US CRUCIAL INSIGHTS ON HOW COMPACT OBJECTED MERGE. WE PERFORM OUR ANALYSIS ACROSS COSMIC TIME, TO EXPLORE THE COSMOLOGICAL HISTORY OF MERGERS AND TO FIND ANY RELEVANT CORRELATION BETWEEN THE PROPERTIES OF THE HOST GALAXIES OF COMPACT OBJECT MERGERS.
