This thesis is focused on solving the dangerous effects on the human body caused by prolonged permanence in a weightless environment. It presents a general overview of issues related to "artificial gravity", it describes the physical problems that occur in the absence of gravity and presents some solutions, focusing on a particular design of a spacecraft for generating artificial gravity composed by two modules connected by a tether.
