Propuesta de traducción del texto especializado “Turismo accesible. Hacia un turismo para todos” y análisis traductológico

The aim of this work has been to enter the world of technical translation that makes extensive use of specialized language, dealing with the problems and doubts that this process entails and trying to find some strategies and solutions to solve them. The thesis in question is a translation and translation analysis of the specialized text “Turismo Accessible. Hacia un turismo para todos”, a 111-page book written by Daniel Marcos Pérez, Diego J. González Velasco and the global auditing, accounting and consulting group Mazars Turismo and published on the occasion of the European Year of People with Disabilities in 2003. This project is mainly divided into three parts: in the first chapter, an introductory theoretical part where special languages and the translation of these types of text are investigated; in the second chapter, a practical part of the complete translation of the text; and in the third chapter, a last part that combines theory and practice, and that refers to technical texts, the technical translation of the text which talks about tourism and a translation analysis of the translated text. In particular, this section focuses on how certain translation problems have been solved at the syntactic level and especially at the lexical level, focusing on the translation of specialized terminology, proper names and acronyms.

El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido entrar en el mundo de la traducción técnica que hace un largo uso del lenguaje especializado, tratando con los problemas y con las dudas que este proceso conlleva e intentando encontrar algunas estrategias y soluciones para resolverlos. El trabajo de tesis en cuestión es una traducción y un análisis traductológico del texto especializado “Turismo Accessible. Hacia un turismo para todos”, un libro de 111 páginas escrito por Daniel Marcos Pérez, Diego J. González Velasco y el grupo global de auditoría, contabilidad y consultoría Mazars Turismo y publicado en 2003 en ocasión del Año Europeo de las personas con discapacidad. Este proyecto se divide principalmente en tres partes: en el primer capítulo, una parte teórica de introducción donde se investigan los lenguajes especiales y la traducción de estos tipos de texto; en el segundo capítulo, una parte práctica de traducción completa del texto; y en el tercer capítulo, una última parte que combina teoría y práctica, y que se refiere a los textos técnicos, a la traducción técnica del texto sobre el turismo y a un análisis traductológico del texto traducido. En particular, esta apartado se centra en cómo se han resuelto determinados problemas de traducción a nivel sintáctico y sobre todo a nivel de léxico, centrándonos en la traducción de la terminología especializada, los nombres propios y las siglas.
