Hydropower plants can play a significant role in the reduction of CO2 emissions. in this thesis work an hydropower plant project in the Dolomites will be analysed in order to make some hydrological and economical assessment. Comparisons regarding hydrology, water policy and economical aspects will be performed in order to understand the impact of these categories on the profitability and reliability of a small hydropower plant in the Valfredda creek.
