Since the early 90s there has been great discussion about the effect of trade, in particular international trade, on environmental pollution. Trade can be divided into inter and intra-industry trade, with the latter being generally found to positively impact the environment. The thesis investigates the impact of intra-industry trade, FDI, and trade openness on CO2 emissions in the European Union. To test this, we employed the FEmodels on a panel dataset comprising all the countries which are part of the European common market, for the period 1995-2019.

Abstract
Since the early 90s there has been great discussion about the effect of trade, in particular international trade, on environmental pollution. Trade can be divided into inter and intra-industry trade, with the latter being generally found to positively impact the environment. The thesis investigates the impact of intra-industry trade, FDI, and trade openness on CO2 emissions in the European Union. To test this, we employed the FEmodels on a panel dataset comprising all the countries which are part of the European common market, for the period 1995-2019.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
