The Sars-Cov2 pandemic brought back the attention on the issues present in our SSN (Sistema Sanitario Nazionale) such as aging of the general population and the disparity and vulnerability of the system in itself. In the 2000s World Health Organization (WHO) identified the necessity for nurses to be the the central focus in approaching healthcare directly from the community, focusing on preventing healthcare issues and escalations. The European Commission in May 2020 approved the PNRR (Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza) confirming a panel of benefits and aids in support to the reorganization of the SSN. This included the creation of “Case della Comunità”, an organizational body where District and Family Nurses will operate focusing on one side, on in locum healthcare supporting the community, families and singles, and on the other, bridging from basic to more advance healthcare. In response to the WHO and EU Commission recommendations Universitas Studii Paduani structured a formative plan in form of a Post Graduate Course: “Infermiere di Famiglia e Comunità” (qui non so se lo devi tradurre, perchè è il nome del corso, ma in caso servisse diventerebbe “District and Family nurse”). The main objective of this course is to create and model the future role of nurses working in Case della Comunità, by shaping their position in the changing society, in order to provide the best community and family care.
