The main object of this thesis concerns the character of Marta in Gesualdo Bufalino's "Diceria dell'untore", and in particular her presentation through the themes of the real and the unreal. This thesis will be divided into two parts. The first will concern the theme of reality or its presentation to the reader (its physical presentation, its behavior and character), which brings with it different themes, for example the passion of the main protagonist or the very important theme of the disease and how this theme is intertwined in the presentation of Marta, or again the theme of her past. The second part will focus above all on the theme of unreality. In particular with the theme of the angel woman and the transformation that occurs for example during the show. I will also see the theme of idealism that is linked with the physical description that is made of Martha and the description of the perfect image that she wants to postpone.

L'oggetto principale di questa tesi riguarda il personaggio di Marta in "Diceria dell'untore" di Gesualdo Bufalino, e in particolare la sua presentazione attraverso i temi del reale e irreale. Questa tesi sarà divisa in due parti. La prima riguarderà il tema del reale ossia la sua presentazione al lettore (la sua presentazione fisica, del suo comportamento e carattere), che porta con sé diversi temi per esempio la passione del protagonista principale, l’importantissimo tema della malattia e di come questo tema si intreccia nella presentazione di Marta, o ancora il tema del suo passato. La seconda parte si concentrerà soprattutto sul tema quindi dell'irrealtà. In particolare con il tema della donna angelo e della trasformazione che avviene per esempio durante lo spettacolo. Anche il tema dell'idealismo sarà analisato, legato con la descrizione fisica che è fatta di Marta e della descrizione dell’immagine perfetta che vuole rinviare.
