Le pouvoir de la fiction chez Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is often associated with his best-known work, one of the most translated in the world: The Little Prince. The importance of this author, however, goes beyond this work, which remains a milestone in world literature. This study deepens the knowledge of this author-aviator, or aviator-author, by exploring his literary and philosophical way of thinking, his image about the figure of aviators and his childhood. Saint-Exupéry is the subject of this dissertation because this humanist author has been ignored and forgotten for a long time. The focus is on the many facets of this personality, highlighting the power that 'fiction' (as narrative and as imagination) has over his work.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry viene spesso associato alla sua opera più conosciuta, tra le più tradotte al mondo: Il Piccolo Principe. L'importanza di questo autore, tuttavia, va oltre quest'opera, che rimane una pietra miliare della letteratura mondiale. Lo studio approfondisce la conoscenza di questo scrittore-pilota, o pilota-scrittore, esplorando il suo pensiero letterario e filosofico, il suo immaginario intorno alla figura degli aviatori e l'infanzia. Saint-Exupéry è l'argomento di questa tesi di laurea perché questo scrittore umanista è stato a lungo ignorato e dimenticato.
