The thesis project aims to prepare polymer-based nanocomposites (epoxy resin) containing both natural clays and smectites suitably modified in order to give the final materials antimicrobial and antiviral activity. The chemical and mechanical properties of the prepared nanocomposites will be studied, as well as the antibacterial and virucidal properties.
Il progetto di tesi mira a preparare nanocompositi a base polimerica (resina epossidica) contenenti sia argille naturali sia smectiti opportunamente modificate in modo da conferire ai materiali finali attività antimicrobica e antivirale. Dei nanocompositi preparati saranno studiate le proprietà chimiche e meccaniche, oltre che le proprietà antibatteriche e virucide.
